From analyst relations to birthday celebrations, supporting H.B. Fuller
Our relationship with H.B. Fuller — a global producer of adhesives, sealants and paints — started with a single, high-level assignment: Communicating the transition of its CEO. H.B. Fuller executives were so pleased with the results that they have entrusted Padilla Speer Beardsley with a broad range of corporate responsibilities, from annual reports to anniversary celebrations.
Most of our work has focused on investor relations. Padilla assists H.B. Fuller by writing quarterly earnings releases and providing counsel to the CEO and CFO, including preparation for conference calls with analysts. We've also coached top management on presentation skills for investor audiences.
Executives put those skills to use when they addressed 35 analysts/investors who attended an analyst day planned and executed by Padilla. That event was just one component of Padilla's strategy to attract analyst attention and increase positive coverage for H.B. Fuller. We also produced the company's 2007 and 2008 annual reports, developing the content and providing the creative design.
In the area of crisis communications, Padilla has assisted
H.B. Fuller with communications surrounding several product and employee issues. We have also conducted crisis training for the entire senior management team and provide periodic refreshers for the team.
As H.B. Fuller's 120th anniversary approached, the company commissioned Padilla to throw a massive party, complete with a 5K race, a building re-dedication ceremony and an employee picnic. Padilla planned and executed the event, including production of promotional materials including Web invitations, brochures and signage. The events attracted more than 500 people, including a bevy of local, state and federal officials.
