Golder Associates – a global ground engineering and environmental services firm -- provides solutions to oil and gas, mining, manufacturing and transportation clients, helping them build vital infrastructure, restore landscapes and incorporate sustainability into their enterprises.

The employee-owned company decided to take advantage of its upcoming 50th anniversary to take stock of its standing with critical audiences. But Golder’s leaders recognized they needed expert guidance to assess how their employees, clients and other stakeholders perceived the firm.

So the company partnered with the research team at Padilla Speer Beardsley to benchmark the success of its communications with internal, external and influencer audiences.

Padilla designed two global surveys from the ground up, reaching thousands of employees and hundreds of customers. Padilla also conducted in-depth interviews with business partners to gain a holistic view of the company.

After an extensive review of the responses, Golder's leadership wasn't content to let the data sit on the shelf. They turned to Padilla again for guidance on how to turn the information into action with a long-term brand-management strategy that would encourage lasting relationships with key constituents.
