Reimagining the Media Kit for Ditch Witch®

All people—including media—appreciate solutions that make life easier. To help the Ditch Witch® organization more effectively share its story with key media at 14 major trade shows, Padilla reimagined the traditional media kit to ease access for members of the media.

Instead of creating printed or flash drive kits, Padilla developed a QR code-enabled mobile media kit to put key Ditch Witch news and media resources conveniently and compellingly in the palm of editors' hands. Literally.

The kit's template features an intuitive CMS to flexibly update content from show to show. A social media window within the media kit streamed company and show-related posts, and simple "share" features allowed the media to forward the kit's content to other devices, including work computers.

Embedded code within the media kit tracks media engagement. Analytically, Ditch Witch was able to identify how many media scanned the kit, when and from where they scanned it, what they viewed, and when they viewed it. Anecdotally, editors praised the QR code-enabled media kit for being clever, innovative and ... cool. The media kit also further enhanced the brand's position of understanding its audience and creating solutions for them.
