Director of Business Development and Marketing
Curtis directs Padilla's business development program and firm marketing strategies, applying the skills and savvy he developed at several of America's other best agencies.
With more than 15 years of experience in building professional partnerships, Curtis is responsible for cultivating new business for Padilla, by conveying the firm's integrated communications capabilities to potential clients across the nation. He also leads Padilla's internal marketing team, which creatively promotes the firm's brand through a broad range of outreach programs across all media channels.
Before joining Padilla, Curtis served as the director of business development at Carmichael Lynch and Carmichael Lynch Spong. He developed integrated client-agency relationships with some of America's most respected brands, including Clorox, Hasbro, Sherwin-Williams, SUPERVALU and Target. He also managed both agencies' reputations in the advertising, public relations and digital arenas.
Prior to Carmichael Lynch Spong, Curtis spent five years directing new business and marketing efforts for Fleishman-Hillard's office in Minneapolis/St. Paul. Before that he worked in Weber Shandwick's Minneapolis office as a member of its marketing and new business team.
Curtis is a long-time member of the Public Relations Society of America and is currently chair of its business outreach committee. He also serves on the board of Pillsbury United Communities, a nonprofit organization serving the needs of Minneapolis' inner city neighborhoods. Curtis was named to the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal's 40 Under Forty list in 2013. He also has been a featured speaker at the annual Mirren New Business Conference, the nation's largest business-development event for advertising, public relations and digital executives.
