John Mackay
Senior Vice President

John heads PSB's corporate communications practice group and has extensive experience in investor relations, financial communications and marketing.

Prior to joining the firm in 1986, John was with Newsome & Company, the leading financial public relations firm in Boston, where he was responsible for providing investor relations counsel to a broad spectrum of public companies. From 1980 to 1985, he was the director of investor communications for General Mills. From 1970 to 1979, he worked for General Mills' Consumer Food Group, specializing in the development and marketing of new food products.

John holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania and a master's degree in business administration from The Wharton School of Business and Finance.

John is a member of the National Investor Relations Institute, and serves on the board of the Minnesota Chapter of The Nature Conservancy. He is a past member of the board of directors of the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum and of the advisory board to the United Negro College Fund, Inc. He is a past chairman of the Learning Center for Economics Advisory Board to the Minneapolis Public Schools, past president of the board of the Twin Cities Chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute. He also served on the board of directors of the Minneapolis Chapter of the Salvation Army, the steering committee of the Twin Cities Salvation Army Capital Campaign and The Greater Yellowstone Coalition.

John also holds the rank of captain in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve.
