Matthew J. Kucharski, APR Vice President, Emerging Technologies Practice

Matt has been with Padilla Speer Beardsley since 1989, specializing in technology and marketing public relations in business-to-business settings. He manages publicity, media relations and marketing communications for a number of clients, and has extensive experience in strategic marketing communications planning; media relations; corporate, brand and product positioning; mergers and acquisitions; trade show implementation and issues management. He has special expertise in helping software, data storage, telecommunications, automation and networking companies increase awareness and penetrate vertical markets. Matt has been instrumental in building PSB�s technology practice, and currently oversees programs for Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley, Rockwell Software, Ontrack Data International, Labseek.com, iXmatch.com, Fourth Shift, Inc. and Artesyn Technologies. Past experience includes support for Microsoft, Computer Network Technology, Digi International, Aerial Communications, Iomega, CorVu International, Engineering Animation, Sega Video Games, 3M, Tonka Products and IBM. Prior to PSB, he performed marketing and employee communications at Cray Research, Inc. (now a division of Silicon Graphics), and U.S. Bank (formerly First Bank). Matt majored in journalism and business at the University of Wisconsin�River Falls, where he graduated with academic honors and was named outstanding journalism senior by the Department of Journalism faculty. He is an Accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America and a member of the Minnesota High Tech Association and Minnesota Software Association. He lectures frequently on technology and general public relations issues at various colleges, universities and professional associations, and has authored several articles on public relations for local and national PR and technology magazines.
