Vice President

Kathy leads the firm's manufacturing practice, and develops and manages many of the strategic marketing communications programs for Padilla Speer Beardsley's business-to-business clients. Her work involves strategic planning, primary and secondary research, and sales channel and end-user programs to help clients launch products and gain industry visibility in several vertical and horizontal markets. Also among her areas of expertise are trade shows, for which she helps clients with message development, media relations, special events and booth training. Kathy has worked closely with editors at trade, business and general news media, and has written and marketed bylined technical and feature articles, including cover stories. She also planned and implemented media relations activities and has produced a variety of marketing communications documents, including speeches and brochures.

For our investor relations clients, Kathy has written and managed production of corporate annual reports, quarterly reports and other collateral materials and assisted with analyst and broker relations.

Kathy has a bachelor of arts degree in communications from Metropolitan State University and remains active in education as a community faculty member and consultant for the communications college at Metropolitan State University.

Kathy has been with PSB since September 1984. She is an Accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America, is a member of the Business Marketing Association, and has participated in the Twin Cities chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute and the American Electronics Association. In addition, she served on the board of directors, executive committee and communications committee for the local March of Dimes chapter. She also is a marching member/performer and past member of the board of directors for Minnesota Brass, Inc., a local adult drum and bugle corps, and has managed communications and fund raising efforts for this non-profit organization.
