Vice President and Director of Business Development

Paul is an enthusiastic communicator who understands motivation, determination, strategic thinking and their role in promoting ideas. He is an accomplished promotional strategist, event marketer, speechwriter and sales force developer. His work has won awards in both the advertising and public relations industries.

Since joining PSB in 1994, Paul staged the most successful new product introduction for one of America's largest private daily newspapers, and is working to help that organization groom a sales force that is equipped to handle the information age. He also counsels top executives in three $50 million-plus companies on strategies for employee communication, brand management, customer relations and presentations.

As director of business development, he leads senior account staff in business-building activities including strategies for growth, skill-building and prospecting. Paul integrates internal resources with external partners to create prosperous new opportunities for the firm.

He joined PSB after nine years at Primarius Limited Promotion. As vice president of creative services at Primarius, he developed a specialty publishing and graphics arts business from scratch, grew the employee communications sector of the business, and managed event marketing and publicity activities for retail and consumer-oriented clients. He has a grand sense of celebration and style, which was developed early in life through the performing arts.

Paul is a Rotarian, and a member of the board of directors at Minneapolis City of Lakes Rotary Club. He is very active in volunteer activities for youth, including directing youth choirs and youth musicals through his church. Paul earned a bachelor's degree, cum laude, from Gustavus Adolphus College, where his areas of study were speech communications and vocal music.

Paul is married to his college sweetheart and they are raising three children in Bloomington, Minnesota. Together they like to golf, ride bikes, build things, play games, sing in the car and imitate Elton John at the piano.
