Padilla Speer Beardsley to receive 2010 Champion for Equality Award, March 11

MINNEAPOLIS - Feb. 12, 2010 - Today the Women's Foundation of Minnesota announced that Padilla Speer Beardsley has been named the winner of the 2010 Champion for Equality Award. The Foundation presents the award annually to a Minnesota-based corporation or business for its commitment to moving gender equality forward for women in the workplace. In 2009, General Mills was the award's inaugural recipient.

Padilla Speer Beardsley will receive the award at the 2010 Joint Dinner for Women's Professional Associations on Thursday, March 11, 2010 from 5:00-8:30 p.m. at the Marriott - City Center, in downtown Minneapolis.

"With its proven dedication to building and nurturing women's leadership through its policies and practices, Padilla Speer Beardsley was the enthusiastic and unanimous choice for this award," said Lee Roper-Batker, Foundation president and CEO.

"Padilla is honored to be recognized by the Women's Foundation of Minnesota," said Lynn Casey, Padilla Speer Beardsley's CEO. "We were early adopters of the principle of life-work balance and our culture continues to nurture the dynamic lives of our employees as they serve clients, community, their friends and family, and our firm."
