Padilla honored for work with major health care organizations

MINNEAPOLIS - July 20, 2010 - Padilla Speer Beardsley has won national honors for its work on behalf of two Minnesota health care giants: Mayo Clinic and UnitedHealth Group.

Padilla, a multispecialty communications firm with offices in Minneapolis and New York City, won a coveted Silver Quill Award from the Pacific Plains Region of the International Association of Business Communicators for helping launch the Mayo Clinic Health Manager. This interactive tool - created through a collaboration betweeen the Mayo Clinic and Microsoft - allows consumers to securely store their medical information online and receive personalized health guidance.

The second award, from the League of American Communications Professionals, recognized Padilla as the 2009 Platinum Vision Award winner for its production of UnitedHealth Group's 2009 annual report. Padilla received the highest points possible in all judging categories, including creativity, message clarity and information accessibility.
