Padilla Captures Coveted "Best Large Agency to Work For" Award
MINNEAPOLIS - May 4, 2010 - Padilla Speer Beardsley has been named America's "Best Large Agency to Work For" by The Holmes Report, a leading global observer of the public relations field. Padilla - an independent public relations consulting firm with offices in Minneapolis and New York - will be officially recognized with the distinction at the annual SABRE Awards dinner on May 11 in New York City.
Padilla was selected following Holmes' annual survey of nearly 5,000 employees at approximately 80 of America's leading public relations firms. Those results help determine the winner, along with an assessment of the candidate firm's employee programs, ranging from benefits to work/life balance initiatives.
"Padilla Speer Beardsley has featured regularly on our 'Best Agencies to Work For' list, but this is the first time it has ranked No. 1 in its weight class," noted Paul Holmes, editor and publisher of The Holmes Report, which sponsors the internationally prestigious "Best Agency" award as part of the SABREs.
"As the firm grows - it now has more than 100 people - it continues to operate according to the strong Midwestern values that have earned it a reputation as one of the best-managed firms in the country," Holmes said.
In announcing the award, Holmes pointed to Padilla's status as an employee-owned company, calling this "one of the firm's most important assets when it comes to attracting and retaining talent." Holmes also highlighted Padilla's long history of providing high-quality professional development courses, as well as its strong commitment to giving back to the communities where its employee-owners live.
"The Holmes Report's ranking is the only one of its kind in our industry," said Lynn Casey, Padilla's chair and CEO, "so we are especially proud to receive this recognition."
